How much did you all spend on your HRC Stage 1, plus all the accessories you need? Is this all you need?:

- The Turbo Kit (duh!)
- SAFC
- Turbo Timer
- Boost Controller

I came out w/ the total $3059 for the Kit ($2195), A'PEXi SAFC ($320), HKS Type 1 T.T. ($145), GReddy PRofec B B.C. ($399). I'm also going to be getting all of the guages in the new COBALT line from AUTOMETER, but they havn't been released yet, so I don't know the prices.

For stage I, I would say:

HRC Stage I - ~2200
Vortech S-FMU - ~300
Manual Boost Controler - ~50

I wouldnt mess around with boost controllers until youve got an intercooler, unless you want to destroy your engine
all you really need is the stage 1 kit.

Well you can get a Joe P. MBC for a quicker spool up, especially if you're AT. Just keep it at 5 psi and you'll be fine.


Joe P. MBC or any MBC = 10-50
Any EGT gauge = 105
Westach EGT probe = 60
A\F gauge = 60-80
Turbo Timers = NAH.....sit your ass in the hot sun and wait for the car to cool off
Save up for intercooler and piping
You won't really need any type of tuning (SAFC, etc...) equipment for a Stage 1 or 2
