I really think I need larger injectors cause my EGTs went to 810 degrees C at 5psi!! Either that or I gotta hack up my fuel pump assembly and make sure it has a fool proof seal. I sure hope I didn't kill anything...

BTW, what are the EGTSs for NA?

thanks!

That's still safe. If it goes over 900c you're having problems. Was it just a hard pull or what?

My NA egts ran about 1000f at idle, 1400-1425 @ 80mph, 800f after idling for about 5 minutes.

Leon, If your EGT's went that high (I'm not sure if that's even high though since my EGT reads in Farenheit) at only 5psi, than there is something else wrong, not your injectors. Also keep in mind that high EGT doesn't necessarily mean lean... read the article on HRC's website and it will help to explain it more and how to reag your EGT's. Your stock injectors should max out by my best guess, around 12psi. Also, how long where you at that temp before you took your foot off the go fast pedal? If it was momentary and happened only once, then there's a good chance very little damage occured. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Keep us posted.

810C is 1490F. Not too high, right?

I'm not saying that my injectors are broken...I'm just saying instead of running high fuel pressure, maybe I should do it the "right way" and get larger injectors. With larger injectors, you know you are getting the right amount of fuel.

Is there a link for this?

After getting up bravey, I decided to do a 3rd gear (AT) WOT pull (finally!) from 110km/h, and as soon as I saw the warning led go on I let go. So I guess that verifies to me that my car ain't tuned/set up right just yet. emoji

damn it...damn it

For a turbocharged vehicle, the HRC site says that 1500-1650 is normal and healthy. I only boost that high and I frequest 1500+ frequenly. If it were lower, I would say that you're too rich and need to lean it out.

Well I have to say that the 440's are Freakin HUGE! My settings on my S-AFc just to get the car to start and idle are set as follows.
(low Throtle)
(rpm's) (%)
1000 -48
2000 -45
3000 -40
4000 -36

(High throtle)
1000 -46
2000 -40
3000 -35
4000 -32
5000 -26
Also I reset my S-AFC and as a result I had to redo all the settings to get the car to start and after, to idle. My settings that seem to work for me are.
preasure type
1 in 1 out
4 CL / (arrow up)
NOTE! I dont recomend you to set your S-AFC's at these settings, just becuase My motor after 2 days of boost blew something (rings/headgasket/craked piston), but should give you a starting point.
SEE YA!!!!!!!!!!!MWC
Mind you this is at 32 pound fuel presure at idle. These are not fine tuned #'s, but it will give you and idea as to just how big the 440's are in size.

Yep, actually they are just over twice as large as our stock injectors.
So Ray, you got it to idle by leaning it out? Hope all goes well

Dude! "what can I say" you are a "GOD" when it come to these cars. emoji
Thanks for your help bro! I just cant beleive how much I had to lean it out. I will richen up the higher RPS though, I dont like them that low in the negatives. Oh Wyatt, I tried the radiator cap thing, and no explosion in water, so I guess my hopes in it just being a headgasket are shot. emoji
Oh well well see next week.
