#19856, "The Cartech Cast Regulator"

ok... I'm pretty sure that the problems with this thing are temperature related. I installed my kit back in early october (in Michigan by the way) and the temps have been 60 or below for the most part since. All winter the regulator has been rock solid. I have had no fluxuation at all in WOT pressure or idle pressure. These past few days it has gotten into the 80's and the regulator is going nuts. It has fluxuated about 20 psi at idle but remains fine at WOT. I adjusted it yesterday 3 times. Every time I would turn the car off then turn it back on, the damn thing would be off again (even if I didn't drive anywhere). Finally I got it to stay and I drove home. This afternoon I hear that the fuel pump is running quieter than normal, so Im thinking that the pressure has climbed back up. Sure enough the idle pressure was 65 psi. I adjusted it again and it seems to be fine after a short drive. I can always tell if the idle pressure is off by the way that the inline pump sounds. If it is loud then the idle is low and if its quiet then the idle pressure is high. Got any ideas on why temperature is messing this thing up? By the way, I got my new Konig Blatant 17s on today and damn.... what a difference a nice set of wheels makes emoji

i really doubt your Cast cartech is due to weather out of the blue... i think it gave out on u now.. mine was pretty steady at idle and boost for the first couple months then its started flux all over the place and sometimes if im lucky would stay steady... hrc came out with a new cartech shiny its sopose to be much better but i heard it still flux about 5psi at idle... recently i installed the s-fmu and now my idle is rock hard hehe...

Get rid of it. You'll be surprised how horrible it is once you get a decent FPR.
