#19799, "Need to get a FCD that doesnt throw an engine code!!!"
I have the VC1 and the check engine light is on. As far as I remember the code is throws has something to do with the MAP sensor voltage. I went to Emissions here in MD with my motor all F'd up and they couldnt test my car because the check engine light was on. The light has been on ever since I had the turbo put one which is was about a year ago. They gave me a 90 extension and I need to know if the new VC1's throw a code or not. Thanks

9 times out of 10 it is the EVAP shit. My GS had the same thing, and still does....even though its not my GS anymore. If that is the case, its not the VC1. Have fun figuring that one out....has anyone solved that problem yet?

Just take it off temperarily. They shouldn't see any boost during emmisions testing (unless you live in NJ where they floor your car and slam on the breaks on a skidpad for brake testing). Most places just rev the engine at idle. you should be fine without the VC1 for all their test. Studder home and put it back on.
