#19717, "Intake Manifold Vacuum source"

Okay i know i was reading on this board somewhere about this but i couldn't find it after some searching so i will re-open the topic i suppose.
Okay my problem is that i want to run the vacuum line for my wastegate off of my intake manifold, and someone was saying something about taping it (made it sound like drilling into the manifold is what you want to do). So since we don't use the PCV source can we that hole that already exists? or one of the other hundred holes that are pre-made by factory.
Sorry for the silly question that has already been asked a billion times before....

There are like 3 vacuum ports on the back of the intake manifold. I don't have my EGR system so I am using that port from the vacuum. Even if all of your ports are used you can always put a "T" in there to have an extra vac source.
