#19689, "Flow characteristics between t-25 and s16g"
I was thinking: Hypothetically since a 16g flow rate is much greater than the t-25 than wouldn't pushing 5 psi on the 16g be equivalent to about 7-8 on the t=25?? or is it 5 psi on one has the same amount of risk on the other.
Sorry if this is a kind of nonsense question, I was just thinking how I need to set my new fuel set-up when my car gets out of the body shop this weekend (finally, it looks soooooooooo suh-we........uh... ricey but hey it lookz good, check the inter/exter section I might post some "under construction" pics) anyhow, back to the fuel question, wouldn't I be able to sort of lean it out a little bit more than, let's say, the HRC fuel system for the same amount of boost
for instance, the HRC kit says
@ 6 lbs ===> 80-90psi of fuel @ 9 lbs ===> 105-110psi of fuel"
and that's on a S16g
wouldn't I be ok with let's say 8-9 at 80-90 psi of fuel.
the situation is, the month before I dropped off my car, it was really boggy if I floored it but if I got on it moderately it would boost fine and haul, even for an a/t. What ratio would you guys suggest for me? 6:1, 5:4:1? lower?? O well, it was just a thought I had in my head for a while now........

The stock 4G's also have a lower compression ratio. I don't think its a good idea to compare turbos on different cars/engines. If you want to compare turbos, I'm sure there is some data out there on the www.dsm.org site. 16G is a common upgrade for them and I bet someone has some comparison data. If you could get ahold of compressor maps, that would be a start.

Your still running the T25 bro. you really need to get The S-FMU because the recallibratioin disks aren't that accurate. Mickey you need to step up to the 16g from RRE the T25 is fun but it doesn't have the top end of the 16g. remember I ran the T25 on the 420A too. damm with our compression that t25 is like a monster untill the top end it dies out, at 10pounds your probably at 200hp to the wheels or a little more. your probably maxing out the T25 on 10pounds because your compression is 9:6 I know you can boost higher than 10 pounds but itz useless hot air, out of the turbos range.yeah if you lean it out you'll get more power
