I've got a Star Kit Stage I and might get some money back from taxes. I do have a 97 type fuel system with walbro and riser that came with the kit and want to know about what I needed to upgrade. The search is kinda quirky so sorry if these questions have been asked before. I have a buddy that's into 2.3 turbo Fords and said that I can pick up 36# injectors for nothing. I was wondering what was the average cost to have injectors cleaned and balanced? Also I'm thinking about getting a FP gauge but haven't seen any that go to 160. If I use the bigger injectors, SAFC, and a calibration disc, will it lower my FP below 100psi so I could get a 0-100 gauge? Lastly, would I need an adjustable regulator to adjust FP-- maybe like the B&M regulator? Am I looking to buy shit I don't need?

That's what I figured that's why I asked about the 100psi gauge instead of the 160 gauge. BTW I still have the header b/c my college post office lost/found it. I have to get another box for it since they beat the other one all to hell. I'm sending soon. I'll refund you shipping too since it's been so long.

well you wont have to buy an ajustable fpr just a lower disk for the one you have then the afc can lean you down from there if i'm not mistaken you won't need both. but i don't think you even have to upgrade this stuff unless you are turning up the boost so an intercoller may be a better first buy try it at 8psi till you can get the fuel for 10psi

I have a Starion IC and waiting for another buddy of mine to spare some time to modify and tig weld it together. How about the FP gauge? Which one? I was looking for something electronic b/c I have a 3 gauge holder.

well i have an autometer phantom and i love it but get something that matches your guages if you want. also you will have to put it on the fuel rail directly to get accurate readings at all times. and to do it you will need a -4an female piece for your service port on the rail then you can get a -4an male to 1/8"npt fitting (i could only find this addapter in a male npt so i have to couple it to the 1/8" npt male fitting that is on the sender) to get the sender for your guage to read from. did that make sence? the -4an to 1/8"npt can be bought at summit racing along with the -4an female adapter to the rail

It is a good idea to buy a fuel pressure gauge, especially the electrical ones--that's what I'll be buying next; but, you definitely don't want to run too much over 100 psi of fuel pressure. The fuel lines will probably bust at some point. By upgrading to bigger injectors, you can lower the "under boost" fuel pressure by a pretty significant amount; how much lower will depend on how much boost you plan to run and the size of the fuel injectors. If you plan to use a fuel controller, such as, an S-AFC, you probably do not want to go over anything bigger than a 420-450cc injectors; otherwise, you'll run really rich at idle and low speed driving.
