#19417, "what brand of gauges do most of you use?"

i'm getting all the gauges that i need ordered, and i know most of you use the autometer gauges, but which series do you use(ultralight, sport compact, phantom)? i'm looking for ones that'll most closely match the stock instrument amber color when lit. where did you buy them from, and where do you get the correct probes(westach for EGT)? I'm going to be stage 2, so i'm planning on getting a boost(does the HRC one match the autometer?), EGT, A/F(what's a good one? is it corbin who makes them, forgot?), fuel pressure(need one that reads over 100psi), and i'm thinkin' oil pressure, since i have another spot. what psi is normal oil pressure, so i know what range to get. if you have pics of your gauge setups it'd be cool if u could post 'em. sorry for all the questions. tia

I've been looking for guages as well.. and I'm waiting on the Autometer COBALT series guages to come out. They were planned for release this month, but I've heard they were moved back to the fall. Anyone have any precise info on when these guages will be out?

Thanks, Richard (97 ESi)

The Autometer Ultra-Lite series, with the red lightbulb cover looks really close to the factory gauges at night time, thats how mine is setup, cause I wanted them all to match pretty closely, i dont have a picture cause my cars apart and i cant hook the battery up right now, hehe emoji

autometer ultra-lite series also. I use the green thing to match the a/f at full trottle. =] It matches closely and I plan on getting indiglo's eventually so its the closest color that comes with the gauges that will match them.

Corbin's A/F gauge is a lovely shade of green.

I have a Phantom EGT gauge and an Ultra Lite Oil Pressure.

Nothing matches anything and my 5 color indiglos are going to be coming out since they have an 8k tach so I'll be pimping the stock orange again soon.

I'm going for Phantom gauges. Well I got a korny SPI boost gauge that was white faces and black bezeled so I thought I would play along they go along well. I got a autometer modified AF phantom gauge and SPI Boost gauge. Autometer Phantom pyrometer gauge coming in the mail tommorow, making a custom gauge mount for it too emoji I love that white face gauge look, the first time I saw it on that show room GST when I was buying my car I fell in love with it. I got a HKS TT Type 2 which has a super bright blue LED which totally jacks up my whole setup... emoji

But my ultimate goal is to get revers indiglos with the white faced day face. That way at night the HKS TT will match the reversed indiglos. Ok I think I've typed way too much...

i think i'm gonna go with the ultra lite series emoji who sells them the cheapest? what does the pyrometer gauge go up to? I was also wondering where i can get a fuel pressure gauge that reads over 100. is the autometer A/F ok, or should i go w/ corbin's?

oh yeah - where can i get the westach prebe for the pyrometer? thanx

well pretty much have it sorted out. just need to know where i can get a westach probe, and is it really that much better than the one that comes w/ the autometer pyrometer? also what kind of boost gauge comes w/ the HRC kit? will i match the ultra lites, or should i just order a new one?

the hahn kit comes with a 52mm autometer phantom boost/vacuum gauge. i deleted mine from my kit and bought the 64mm ultra-lite to match the rest of my gauges. they are all autometer ultra lite except the last two:
5in monster tach
autometer shift-lite with blue bulb kit
52mm analog clock
52mm water temp gauge
52mm air/fuel ration
64mm 0-35psi boost
64mm 0-1600 EGT with autometer probe
64mm voltmeter - ultra-nite series (the glo in the dark series)
64mm oil pressure - ultra-nite
the two ultra-nite gauges are for sale because im swapping all my gauges to ultra-lite. if anyone wants them im am selling them, just email or IM me. im making way for:
64mm voltmeter
bezel pod with 52mm electronic oil and fuel pressure gauges.
so, uh, 12 gauges total. yeeah, 12-gauge
