I have been boosting for about 3200 miles now and I have noticed oil leaking from my valve cover. I cleaned it up added some oil and kept an eye on it. I recently boosted up to 8psi and went raceing and it leaked a lot. I was told it was because of the pressure of boost. I got a knew gasket from satan as some people call the dealer. I was also told it would keep leaking. Would getting the catch can from RRE prevent this from reacurring the gasket was expensive. Thanks, Patrick

You need to block off the pcv valve and breather fitting. I just block off the pcv valve and have the breather fitting to into a catch can.

Is the oil coming from around the gasket or is it coming out of the breather nipple?
If it is coming out of the breather then yeah you need a catch can, The RRE catch can has two inlets on it so you can run a hose from the hose where the PCV valve is to the other inlet of the catch can, and a hose from the breather nipp to the other inlet.
If it is coming out of the valve cover Then you should change the VC gasket.

I'd consider a catch can a requirement for turbos, the HRC recommendation to route the breather nipple back into the air filter only gets you oil all over your engine compartment. A couple teaspoons every 1000 miles should be ok.
Might want to do a compression check, just in case. If you have cracked pistons (like me) or other internal leaks, oil will blow out in bulk. A catch can can only catch so much (but how much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could make boost..???)

A wood chuck could boost as much boost as a wood chuck could boost. However it pays to have a catch can, and abotu 2 qts of oil in your trunk at all times for thos just in cases...
