ok, I need some advice/info..

every once in a while, under full throttle from 1st gear, when the car goes into 3rd it will stutter.. our autos dont bounce at the rev limiter but thats kinda what it feels like, but a little harder..

any ideas on what might be going on? it doesnt even do this all of the time... could it be that I was running to rich? tranny problem?

happened to me last night during my 1 run at the track.. and I was running rich.. thanks guys!

I only ran once, it was a 40 min wait to get a run in.. and it was 30 degrees and my g/f was in the stands..

my time is in the post below.. I know I can get into the 15's, the car ran really shitty.. I need some time to tune and lowering tire pressure would help too

ok, my friend had a problem like that before. we checked the fuel cut defender and it was ok, tried messing with the haltech computer setup for the fuel delivery, it was ok. so we checked the plugs. all the plugs were ok, so we checked the wires, while we were taking out the 3rd wire from cylinder 3, it broke in half! we got every little thing out of the spark plug hole and all and popped on another plug from the other elcipse. ever since then, it's been fine. check the plugs and wires and the gapping.

I just changed the plugs a week ago, gapped at .035

The wires look ok, I wonder if it'd be worth changing them? The car is a 98 with 40k miles.
