Just finished tuning my B/C and what a diff. I have set it to 9psi for when I go to the track tonight(1/8mile). It works well in all the gears but 1st. I only see about 7.5psi then slowly falls to about 5.5-6psi. Then I shift and it jumps to 8-9psi and holds threw the rest of the gears. Whats going on here? I want to be at optimal performance for tonight.
Thanks,
Patrick

what kind of boost controller is it? my profecB is very fickle depending on the weather and current rpm...right now i tuned it in the cold weather so that when it does get cold it doesn't go to 10 like it was doing. it used to be that i would tune it during the hot day and then at night i'd get about 2 lbs more just because it gets colder. but now in the warm weather i only hit about 6, but it's safer...either way it'll peg a number and stay at that til about 6k rpms and between that and redline it jumps a pound or so. i don't get it, but just tune it so that you don't go over 8 or so on pump, and 10 on racegas... make any sence?

I got the B/C from Toykilla. It works great except for 1st I think I did something wrong. I thought that you could boost safely to 9psi even on pump gas, correct me if I'm wrong. I don't use very much boost on the street, meaning I don't drive like a mademan. Most of the time I don't even go into boost unless I realy need to slap somebody. The only time I realy get on it is when I go to the track couple times a month. It is fast now but I would like to know what to do about 1st gear.
Thanks,
Patrick

Make sure the oriface is completely cleaned out. If there is anything at all blocking it, you will have symptoms such as the ones your describing. Take a needle and work it in and out, make sure its not blocked in any way.
