I have a custom turbo setup with a standard HKS wastegate with a 5lb spring. It was running great until a day ago when i had this guy make me a dump tube for it cuz I didnt have one and it was wide open and blowing black smoke all over my engine. Anyways he rigged something up and the piping was smaller than the actual hole from the wastgate. After I put it on and got on it and got about 4psi i heard a loud pssshhh and now i cant get any boost?? The car is till running good and everything is hooked up okay but it wont boost at all. So I was wonderig if the dump tube put to much pressure on the wastegate and messed it up or closed it shut?? I havent had a chance to take it off and look at it yet I just know I dont want to have to buy a new wasegate. Can someone help me out??

my guess would be that the wastegate got stuck open. all the air is bleeding out before it can spool the turbo. Take it off and check it out.... best advice you can get.
