Ok, I just got my SFMU a few days ago and while my car was still in the shop, I decided to do swap the disks and rings out and change the springs:

To start, I replaced the Largest Disk in there with the 2.72 disk and ring (no problem, peice of cake)

now the problem: It's with the spring, I have two springs with my kit, the one inside the SFMU was the shorter metallic one and I have the longer metallic one in a bag on the side: I know that we are SUPPOSE to be using the darker short spring, which I apparently did not receive: Now my question is this:

On the instructions manual why does it say

"max static fuel pressure with the standard spring is approx. 50-60 psi" "If more static fuel pressure is required, replace the standard sping with the extra spring included in the box."

(and the standard static spring is the largest spring in the SFMU lid, which should make the other spring with the longer length the shorter spring I already have in there right)

anyhow, for the SFMU users, what is the highest idle fuel pressure you guys have gotten with the regular shorter spring (not the darker one) in the SFMU with the 2.72 disks?

2. Do I really need this damn spring? Or is it a case of I have to put that damn SFMU in my car first and see what happens?

3. How the hell do I get this spring? who's got Vortech's #, I know corbin does......

I forgot to mention this:

The shorter spring (the metallic one) that was in SFMU (still is in) is noticable harder than the long one, if that matters at all, BUT i do know that it is not a dark color but is a tighter spring than the long one.....
