#18777, "Wiring boost guage and turbo timer?"

Hey, my Star stage 1 is on the way so i wanna get some help with these before it gets here. I have an autometer Phantom boost gauge (5703), and the APEXi auto timer. Can anyone give me help on installing these. I also have an autometer phantom oil temp gauge, how would i hook this up? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

Well for the timer if you have a harness than that should be easy as hell.

This is courtesy of Spin Daily and Eclipzegst

1. remoce the plastic piece where the hood latch is (3 bolts #12)
2. Remove the bottom piece of the steering column (3 scres)
3. Find the large white ignition plug and disconnect it. Plug the corresponding plug of the TT harness into the key plug. (ooh lotta plugs huh)
4. the other end of the stock plug goes into the other end of the harness
5. orange wire on timer goes to speedometer
6. white one is only for nissan's
7. purple wire goes to e-brake which is a must connect
8. black is ground
10. mount the timer and set your time manually or auto.

For the boost gauge, the hardest part is tapping into a vacuum source, Eclipsegst has a good pic under the 1gen, 4g63 forum

hope that helps

What harness do i get? The guy at APG (store in albany where i got it) said it's easier to hard wire it and the harness is a waste of money.

actually for the turbo timer, it is easier with the harness. Just plug and play. Hard wiring is tricky as you need to make sure the tap you use bites through the covering.

Just by a harness in my opinion.
