#18681, "O2 sensor, A/F Readings and fuel pressure."

question regarding the a/f readings, currently im running a SFMU and 30lb injectors. fp @ idle is 25psi (offtopic: i thought u couldnt have fuel pressure below stock fp w/o modding the stock fpr, i havent touched the stock fpr tho, so why is this possible on my car? btw, car idles PERFECT now). my fp @ full boost is limited to ~75psi (i have the boost adjustment out, so my fp cant go over 75psi, whether im running 7lbs or 9lbs). Im running 9lbs of boost at the moment. in 1st gear my a/f is reading well over 1.0xxV, in 2nd its right around .98-1.0 (i have auto). egts seem to to not even reach 1500 on a 0-80mph run.

basically, what im wandering is there any way to test the o2 sensor. i was running EXTREMELY Rich (ie 30lb injectors and 12:1 HRC fmu) for over 3000 miles (my plugs were black, and the car would fall on its face at full throttle b/c i was dumping so much fuel). Now that i have the SFMU, and i fixed my DP leak, i want to make sure the O2 sensor isnt phucked from running so rich before. Also, is it possible to clean an O2 sensor, like you w/ carb cleaner on some of the other sensors(liek the IAT ie)?

i know im running rich still right now, but i want to ensure accurate a/f readings before i start trying to lean her out.

thanks for ur help emoji

oh yeah: basically HRC stage 2 on 95 automatic(HRC stage 1, Spearco FMIC, SFMU, 30lb injectors; engine is stock)

95 Avenger
ATX->MTX Swap
Holset HX40 @ 26 psi

If the voltage still cycles on your jumptronix or corbin, or your AF gauge is still "blinky" the O2 sensor is okay..

Don't worry about cleaning them. Once you get it tuned right, you'll burn all the carbon off anyway.
