I need to get to this wire. The Ecu pin would be ideal, but I would settle for the color of the wire under the steering colomn.

pull the bulb, or put black tape over it....

If it is on, there is a problem. No if's-and's-or-but's about it. If there is no problem, it turns off.... depending on what aftermarket/piggyback controllers you have.
