Just lettin you all know that I know nothin about turbos and alittle (the basics and some) about engines. So i would like your opinions on the HRC stageII turbo kit for a basiclly stock 98 GS. Also i want to know what i will need as far as extra parts, because i want to still use my car for day to day driving and boostin without killin my car.

not to be rude but. not many people will reply to this because it has already been discussed 300 times.. use the search feature to look for things on them..
but to your question
the HRC stage 2 and Star stage 2 are the options you have..
check out www.hahnracecraft.com and www.turbogs.com
the kit you choose is all from your preference.. but you wont need anything else on your car to run boost unless you want to run more than around 7 psi daily

For my particular expereience, I had to buy these extras in addition to the stage two Hahn:

EGT (autometer)....................................$120
A/F gauge (Corbin).................................$65
Vortech SFMU (You think the Hahn one would work...)$335
2.5" or Larger full cat back.......................Varies
Fuel Pressure gauge...............................$ 30+
New BOV (you'll see)..............................VAries
NGK Plugs.........................................$2.00 (+) each
Wires.............................................Varies
Misc. hoses, vaccum Tee, Heat wrap, clamps, Etc...Varies

So all in all I think it is worth it. Your car will feel much different.

hope this helps out.

Find engines and turbos. They give good descriptions. Libraries are a good start also.

Fuel pressure gauge comes with HRC.

The only other product you NEED to buy are A/F and EGT gauges.
Exhaust will help a lot but I heard the HRC is coming out with the new Cartech which is suppose to be a lot better than the previous years. (Like mine) Other than that, do a search.

Thanx to all that answered, i know it been asked 300 times. I didn't realize this forum had a search.

I do have 2 more questions: what the diff. between the early and late fuel kits. Also what does BOV mean?

The info&spec page has a full list of acronyms.

Early fuel systems have a regulator in the engine bay, and a return line from the bay to the tank. Late systems do not.

Yes, we have upgraded our fuel pressure regulator (FPR) to a new, revised, all-billet design. It works well, and looks great too!

It is mistaken to believe that the previous cast FPR design must be replaced in every instance: although a very small percentage of them exhibited inconsistency, hundreds more have not. Regardless, we stand behind every one with our system warranty: should any HRC system owner have questions about their FPR, contact our Tech Support Dept,: tech@turbosystem.com, or call 630-801-9065 any weekday afternoon. Tech Support provides daily access to expert help, and it is a dedicated line for Tech only. All other calls should go to our main number: 660-801-1417
