2.25 should be perfect.

I agree with Dave; 2.25" is perfect, unless you're running 400-500 hp. Air will move quicker through a smaller pipe than it would in a bigger pipe. A bigger i/c pipe is better with a bigger turbo and higher boost.

I had mine custom fabricated when my turbo kit was put on--due to a special circumstance, and I chosed stainless steel. However, when I have some exra money I'm going to change to aluminum pipings because of its excellent heat dissipation property and lighter weight. Also, that way I could have the Greddy Type - S BOV welded to the UIC pipe, instead of using a silicone coupler to connect it on.

I used two large U bends and one J bend. It is all 2 inch piping. I left the original piping on the starion and just connected to it. I used black 2 inch internal rubber hose for the connections that you cannot see. For the connections you can see, I used turbonetics 2 inch hose couplings. The black rubber stuff has some kind of threading inside for use with radiator etc.

I also used the stage one piping connected to the new piping. I did have to make a couple cuts and reconnect with hose. This allowed me to not have to deal with making a complete intake piping up to the throttle body. BTW: the stage one intake piping is 2 inch and if you leave it that size, going bigger on the rest will not help you out.

I also routed both intercooler pipes over top of my left fog light, under the left head light.
