Well, today I get that vacuum line installed that was messing up my car and FPR...well, the fuel pump took a dive! It all of a sudden died down, makes no noise, won't prime and all that, car idles crappy. I am just going to replace both my fuel pump and the FPR. I'm going with a Holly system and an SX FPR. This should solve all my problems. I was talking to one of my dad's friends who is a master mechanic and he said that he's never EVER had a good experience with Walbros and that in his oppinion they are crap. Well, I don't know...all I know is mine crapped out on me so I'm going with different shit. If anyone else is having problems like mine please let me know what you did to fix them because all I can tell is I need to replace it all. I'm pretty pissed and just needed to vent. Grr....stupid fuel pump!

My walbro is running strong with zero problems. I hit over 100psi at full boost (8psi). The gauge only reads 100psi.

Glad to hear SOMEOONE is doing ok. What's weird is that I can boost just fine in first and second gears, but third and beyond it takes FOREVER to reach full boost (5 psi) and even then it doesn't feel like it's pulling at all, but I hear the turbo working and all...Gotta my fuel set-up.

The Holley pump may very well be a rebadged Walbro. I've heard this recently, and they do look similar. Make sure that that SX FPR is the proper ratio too. I've been using a Walbro for 2 years with no problems. The only complaint I've ever heard is about the sound.

The Holley pump is a rebadged Walbro. Even has some of the same ID stamping on the case.

>The SX regulator is a 1:1 ratio

What's that mean? Is that the same as our FPR or different or what?

Also, what can cause my car to boost jsut fine in first and second gears, but not in third and above? It was weird how it just started to do that. It was working one day and then the next it was all messed up.

A 1:1 fuel pressure riser ratio means one PSI of fuel pressure increase for every PSI of boost increase. So, at 9 PSI boost your fuel pressure will have only raised 9 PSI. WAY to lean.

Just curious...but if the SX is such a bad FPR, then why do a lot of big time racers use it?
