I don't know but you should get the HKS Super Mega Flow filter. I got it out the door for 80 bucks but full retail is $120. It's an upgrade in itself and flows VERY good. It's about THREE TIMES that of the K&N generic paper filters

But you also have to realize that the more air you flow with that HKS, the more dirt particals get in your engine. And I do believe that it's a K&N air filter that comes with the kit.

I use to have a White 99 GS Sport with a Star Stage II Ball Bearing T3/T4 turbo...it was fun untill....well those who remember me know emoji Oh Ya...this is what I have now... a 99' GSX...

What do you mean? Foam filters catch dirt better than K&N filters and are used in almost all rally cars. K&N even recommends re-oiling if run in dusty conditions, that should tell you something. I use K&N because they come with the ice-man but I dont think there's much if any difference between K&N and the half dozen knock offs, there woven cotten just like the K&N. Neither AEM or RS Akimoto used K&N for years before switching and nobody complained. When my star is delivered I plan on using a Ractive heat sheild filter which I think wll make much more difference than the filter element itself. I'm gonna run the cold air extention pipe too, sort of a turbo-iceman. The HKS has one of the better sounds though.

I don'y think its a K&N, but I myslef bought a K&N filter to replace it but I think it was kind oftrivial to do that.

Yes it's obvious how to replace it...was just wondering cause I was going to replace it with an APEX'i filter (but they had no more stock!!)

grr

Anyhow, how can we make it run 'colder' air setup? there's not much room to route pipes anywhere with the FMIC insatlled =(

You can get HKS Filters cheap on Ebay. Just check from time time. I bought one for like 50 bucks from this dude that had it on his FC-RX7 and it worked good for just the filter. But hehe like a dumb ass I made one of those cheap coldair intakes and the filter fell off of the pipe. emoji

Bought another one from a guy with a civic for 30 bucks. The element itself is cheap also. You can't clean it though... Get the 200 it's the bigger one.

Oh yeah just type in HKS. I'm gonna use the new HKS FIlter I got when I get my Star Turbo kit from Wyatt! emoji
