Well, my turbo IS boosting, but only while in gear. When I first got the kit installed I could rev in neutral and actually push the boost and make the BOV sound...now it won't boost in neutral! It boosts in gear though, anyone know WTF is going on?! Thanks...

Well I'm not really seeing a problem. I can only usually build when my car is in gear. If I put the clutch in and rev it, I get vac fluxuation but no boost. If it's not boosting to to where you have it at, then start checking for leaks in the pipes.

I used to be able to make the BOV go off in neutral when I was stage 1. But with the intercooler and alll the piping it wont do it anymore because of the added volume of air the turbo has to fill. If it did it before and wont do it now and you still have the same piping check for leaks.

What happened to you was a fluke. turbos will never build boost without load, unless it's a really small turbo dealing with a lot of air.
My BOV opens if i rev it a little, however this is normal as the pressure difference between the manifold and the IC pipe works to pull/push the diaphram open. Older diaphrams, i can see being slightly stiffer, would could help produce the BOV sound you heard when reving at idle.
neat trick: Put a condom, rubber glove, balloon, or other inflatable over your BOV outlet. While under your hood, pull back on the throttle. Wait til you "hear" about 5 grand. Let go of the throttle. Quickest way i've found yet to inflate a rubber glove..

My BOV sounds at around 5k but that's cuz my BOV is real soft. Hey have any of you put a whistle/ kazoo thing on the end of the BOV outlet??...Sounded like a neat trick..duct tape the SOB
