#1764, "EGT Temps"

I just wanna know what everyone else is getting for EGT readings....I have the Apex'i gauge so it's in Celcius.....but if Ferinhight is all you have that's fine I have a calculator handy! What should my EGT be at for a long 3rd and 4th gear pull? I'm running 7.4psi currently....and What should it be at on the Freeway Cruising at 70mph @ like 3,000rpms? Is there a temp to shoot for at idel too??? oh and what is suppose to be our idel fuel pressure? I'm at 32psi at idel. Thanks Guys!

Greg, since you are running 440 injectors I believe the FP you are reading are acurate... Get with Murix, I think he's running 400's but he could tell you if you are running the correct FP...

As far as EGT's are concerned, I have an autometer gauge, so mine are in Farenheit...

At cruising (closed loop)I am reading around 1200-1250 degrees F.

At WOT I am getting 1400 degrees F.

At idle I sit anywhere between 900-950 degrees F.

I hope this helps....

Those are the EXACT numbers I am getting (EGT and FP), and I have 440's as well, and was wondering about the FP, but now that I see you are at the sam at idle, I feel a little more comfertable.

Hey greg I just cruised your site and i must say you have a sweet looking ride. I looked thru your pics page and have a few questions. First I didn't see your battery when the motor was put back in. Did you not install it yet or did you relocate it to the back? Second why are you running two(2)S-AFC?

The AVC-R doesn't regulate fuel but displays inj. Duty and performs different rpm and Gear boost.

man your car looks sweet, have you done the turbo and pistons install by yourself?

8.8:1 compression seems to be a little low, unless your are planing to run mad boost, how much boost can your run with those pistons? how is the turbo lag?

Well I'm going to try and answer all your questions.....Eric C: I mounted my EGT probe in the manifold right where all the gases hit the turbo (star manifold). DSM1: My battery is still in my engine bay! if you look close it's a racing battery which is half the size and weight of the stock battery. and no I'm not running two AFC's...hahahaha...that other Apexi computer is an AVC-R which is a sweet boost controler. Adel: Yes I am going to run MAD boost! like mid to high 20's for psi at the track, I'm just still breaking in my motor and currently have the boost set at 7psi, gonna up it soon. I have very little lag on my turbo...it's Ball Bearing emoji I hope I answered all your guy's question's! If you have anymore just drop me an E-mail or post them.
