the 550 can be manageable if you lower the base fuel pressure. Even then, however, you may idle rich.
The 440 can be managed with the AFC even with stock idle fuel pressures. It's a better deal if you don't want to spend the money for a fully adjustable regulator. It's also enough fuel for roughly 18PSI (with the right pressures) on an HRC kit with a 16g turbo, or about 15PSI (again, with the right pressures) on a T3/T04.
IMO, the 550's are just overkill. By the time you hit the upper limit on a 440, you're ready for a stand alone.
