Corbin told me earlier that we can use a variety of mustang V8 injectors in our cars... i know of the Accel 30lb units at Summit Racing, are there any anywhere else? thanks a lot.

yeah don't listen Corbin, he doesn't know jack about anything! Just kidding. Ford Motorsports are another option. they come, I believe 32 lbs, or something like that. You can get them from Summit.

Shit is all apart. Typical...

Here you go ..19lb,24lb,30lb,35lb,36lb,42lb..all these are available either from Ford Racing or out of used cars. And yes, they work. To get cc conversion muliply by 10.5 to be close. The 35lb'ers came in 86-88 T-Bird Turbo Coupes ans also 85-86 Mustang SVO so are hard to find. New Lightnings have the 42lb's stock along with the new 2003 Cobra's. If you need more..let me know. emoji

Accel 30LB saturated high impedence injectors work just fine with our ecu. If you have a star kit with front mount intercooler and walbro 255 high flow pump, use a 8:1 ring/disc(take out 12:1 disc)in your vortech fmu. This is good for 7-10psi with a max egt of 1600 at high rpm.

Star stage 1 (without intercooler)use the 6:1 disc/ring.

I think with the cooler air(winter weather)caused by the intercooler, the density is much higher than without intercooler. This means more actual air at the same psi which means you need more fuel. You also have to run lower boost levels without intercooler(5-6psi)which means you do not need as much fuel.

BTW: if you live in the south, the summer time is damn hot and I would not recommend driving your car hard without an intercooler. You are very prone to detonation. Keep an eye on the egt for sure.

So no mods have to be made to these injectors for them to fit our cars?

I have seen 2 different styles of electrical connections for them though, make sure you get the right ones.

Accel Part # ACC-150130

You can buy these from Summitracing.com for $38 each. These are a bosch type injector.

be careful buying form ebay! The job of changing the injectors out is not something I would want to do twice in one day.

If you get an injector for a 86-98 Mustang you will be able to use it. In 99 they went to returnless fuel system and have since changed the injectors. for some reason though the 99 up lightning still uses return fuel system. Camaros/Firebirds also have same type injectors that could also be used. The LS1's use an odd size like 27lb or so. Just wanted to let you guys know. emoji
