#17474, "questions about star turbo install"

My downpipe doesn't quite line up with the holes on the turbo...i can get two bolts in, but the rest just arn't happening. should i enlarge the holes on the downpipe with a drill so they line up with the turbo? is there 'posed to be a gasket there? also is it okay if the "an fitting" on the oil sender adapter points down to the floor? it says on the direction that it should be pointing up but the braided hose wont reach under the oil pan the the center section of the turbo if it is pointing up toward the hood? sorry for all the questions, just want to finish this thing!
thanks

Perhaps try bringing the braided oil line around the driver's side of the engine rather than down and up the back of it. Not only might that provide the slack you need, but it will be more sensical in terms of providing the pressurized oil to the turbo through the help of gravity.

about the down pipe there is no gasket.

about the oil feed line, try what jason suggested, I ran mine down the drivers side of the engine block so that there would be enough slack for it to reach.

The downpipe is a BITCH. Bolt it up to the CAT first!

You just have to fight with it. I learned over time if you put the bolts in with a specific order and pry just right, they will all go on after a but of fighting. Just be sure to put some anti-sieze on them, else taking them out later can be a nightmare.
