OK, I had my fiance take my car back to the shop that installed the turbo.. they fixed my exhaust leak and tightened the fuel pump..
well, everything was running fine and working well, and she called me and said she heard a loud pop, then the boost spiked up to about 10, then dropped, this was all very quick..
any ideas what could have caused this? someone told me this happend to them and it was their joe p. mbc.. should i have the shop remove the mbc?? I'm only stage I for now, and plan on stage 2 maybe in a month or two.. please advise guys!! could that have majorly F### d my engine? It was only for a split second she said.. Thanks

sounds like it could have been detonation. I don't think one of 10psi will do much harm specially if it was for a split second. I got boost spikes when my westgate would not open.

I told her to listen for ticking or knocking of any kind and see if the car runs differently, and she says its normal.. so I'll see later tonight when i get home..
Thanks bro, that takes a load off my mind for now! =)

Lil things like this are just a little reminder that having an egt and a/f gauge is not a bad idea. We all find out that with boost comes a lot more responsability, but a lot more knowledge also!

Stage I, you dont need a boost controller. Remove it and use it when you get the stage II. Just take the vaccum lines off it and keep it installed. Run vaccum line from the turbo compressor to the wastegate and its done. Easy huh? You dont need a shop to do it, its a 30 second job done with just your hands.
