OK I have a custom turbo setup with a HKS wastegate. And for some reason I can't turn down the boost? Im hitting 10psi really quick and sometimes 15psi and im having to let of the gas....Maybe I have it hooked up wrong?? Or is my wastegate staying open or something? It seems to be running good its just boosting way to high and im only stage 1 right now cuz I haven't got the piping made for my starion FMIC...anyone have any ideas???

Make sure your wastegate is actually getting a boost signal. if it does not, it will never open and you will boost to the limit of your turbo.

Beyond that .. Make sure you have a low enough rated spring in your wastegate. a 7 pound spring is roughly enough for 5-6psi at the manifold. If you have a 15lb spring, it'll want to boost to 15psi.

If you know you have the right spring and you can verify that you are getting a boost signal, your wastegate may be damamged.

let us know what happens.

OK well Im pretty sure I have the wastegate hooked up wrong and im not sure what pound spring it has in it. I dont know if you are familiar with the HKS wastegate but it has two ports on it...it has one on the top and on the side and I wasnt sure on hooking them up?? Right now I just have a line going from the top of the wastegate to the turbo..do I need to tee in a vacuum line or do I need to hook something to the other port?? If you can help me out I would really appreciate it...this is the last thing i need so i can drive my car cuz i haven't been driving it since its is boosting so high.

Use the port on the side. My wastegate is like that, too - there is a port labeled "vaccuum" on top, but the port for boost is on the side. You are actually boosting your wastegate shut as it stands now.
