hey fellas.......i have a 98 gs with the star stage 2 with the following goodies............crower rods, 8.5 pistons, TSR rings, new head set, and all of this with a new block. my question is why do i hear some sort of noise that sounds like a little like a knock but not quite.....other words it almost sounds like the noise the predator makes in the movie........go ahead and laugh........it only happens when i step on the gas. is something set wrong or willl it go away?, it has enough oil and the pump should be good so i'm just wondering how much boost is safe to avoid something from going wrong............thanks sorry so long.......

Do you have JE Pistons? Sometimes, they give off a knocking or valve-like sound, especially, when the engine is cold. At least mine does anyway.

yes they are.......but it does it all the time not, just when its cold
any suggestions?? any one else with the similar setup have ideas??
