Hello, Lately (today mainly) I've encountered a problem where my A/F meter does not want to cycle.. No matter how long I sit, it just goes up to about .5xx and then flashes around there, no higher.. And then when I drive, it doesn't read my A/F ratio at all.. it just flashes around .5xx again.. Normally this wouldn't really bug me, but my engine's been acting kinda funny.. Just like rough/choppy sometimes when I'm cruising at a normal speed of 37 or so.. I just changed the oil with Mobil 1 yesterday, but didn't change the plugs as I couldn't get them before work.. Could this be the problem? Also, it seems to be getting to boost faster (i shouldn't complain), but in this case it might be bad? My FPR is at around 47 at idle and along with everything else is the way it's always been. Any help would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks

BTW, I'm running a Hahn stage II.. It's Jeff_99GS' old car. In case that helps with anything.. Also, I ran some Gumout Extra Concentrated Fuel System CLeaner stuff in the tank today.. but that shouldn't really affect it.. also, it was like that (choppyish kinda) today, before putting it in anyways..

that concentrated fuel system cleaner probably finished off your 3/4 bad o2 sensor.... those octane boosters/fuel additives will tear an o2 sensor up pretty easily. I bet if you replace the sensor, you'll be back in business.

Hello, Thanks for the help.. So you think it's the 02? that makes sense.. Would that make the car run ultra-rich too? Also, I think I need to change the spark plugs too, would that have any effect on it as well? The car's been kinda just like sputtery in general I guess today.. Kinda like pulls a bit then stops and things.. I'm going to take it in to the garage tomorrow morning.. Hope all goes well.

It sounds like it is definately the o2 sensor. I would imagine that yer plugs are just fine (although it wouldn't hurt to change em). When your o2 sensor doesn't read right, it will cause your engine to run funny like that by giving yer ecu false readings. Yer ecu then compensates for those false readings and makes yer car run like crap.

yes, they are bad if used too much... your fuel system really doesnt need all that... When I have experienced a o2 sensor going bad, my a/f gauge always reads lean, that causes your ecu to throw more fuel at your engine... i dont have that problem, my ecu says +20% increase in fuel due to unhooked o2 sensors, but my factory injector harness is unhooked and the accel dfi controls all that now..
