Just curious how many of you are using either of these 2 setups. I have been seeing quite a few people posting about a lot of blow-by lately and am wondering what setup you use. I had a problem with blow-by when I had a catch can installed between the breather and the turbo intake. Then I switched to mounting a small K&N on the breather hose and I never have to add oil anymore (2500-3000 miles). I'm thinking that this could be related to the vacuum created by the turbo compressor. I didn't think that there would be enough vacuum to actually suck excess oil out, but now I am beginning to wonder. And if thats true, could you be robbing your valves of some needed oil??? Sry for the rambling, its late, pls share yer input with the group

my k&n breather, used to piss oil all over the place. i put a tube from the vc tube to the intake tube, and i get oil in my airfilter.

i need a catchcan.

Dude if your going turbo get a catchcan. First day autox blew oil all over my enginebay, it was not a fun thing to see or clean up. My breather filter got all soaked with oil. The reason you get more oil when your turbo is cuz your putting more pressure into the engine and you get more blowby cuz of that. Also going through corners at high Gs can blow oil out also.

yeah get a catch can. i collect oil in mine quite frequently.

does the catch can route the oil back into the engine?

no. it does just what it says, "catches or gathers the oil so that you don't get it all over your engine.) It does come with a drainer so that you can empty it and you can recicle the oil back into the engine.

Yes go with a catch can, I would leak oil out my breather NA. And if you plan on taking the arto the track, mosttracks require a catch can an no breathers.
