I would go with 440's and and sAFC. And if you run 15psi or under you wont need any ignition tuning. Just run about 12-13 daily and then run like 15-16 on race gas at the track. But if you insist on running 17 psi then get an msd. I have heard of them for sale on ebay for around $150.

a ignition to retard is always good... anything over 10psi and if you rev around 4-7k alot i would retard timing in that rpm band... cool Michael 99gs- hrc stage 2

I'm runni'n 16 PSI daily w/ out any retard.I'm auto so I never go up to 7K,and I rarely hit over 6K cause I mainly do city driving.Stay at 15 to be safe, then pump it up to 18 when you get the MSD and retard controller. If you just wanna be around 15-18 PSI I would recommend sticking w/ 440's.They're more than enough and it's makes the car more liveable(gas mileage and tuning wise). But if your gonna fork up the dough for a DFI,then go all out w/ 625's.Also,I think in Wyatt's old page he dyno's at 267+HP @ the wheel w/ 15 pounds.

I am running 625's with an Accel DFI. 18psi is possible with 440's and a S-AFC on a S16G. Armond and Brad run 18psi on a S20G. On race gas they both have gone over 25psi. I believe Brad runs 625's and Armond runs 720's.
