WRX's are anything but good on top end. They are restricted out the ass, 3Cats. Go from a roll if you do race you should have no problem... 3rd gear in our cars its all over. Especially if he is stock.. i have yet to see one at the track run better then 14.7 stock.

Yes it's possible.... I'm not running a HRC but i've taken a couple WRX's....One had intake and exhaust too. It's possible but hopefully your a better driver then the WRX guy....
Oh yeah and i've seen quite a bit of WRX's run faster then 14's quickest i've seen in person was a 12.6 with some mods on it. (chipped, intake, exhaust, boost controller and some other stuff.)

Other than AWD traction a stock WRX has nothing for you. how else could a 227hp car beat a lighter 275hp one. You'll probably have to walk him down if he can drive or has the balls to utilize AWD advantages.
:farfrommugen: Yes I still own a 2gnt. Damn right I've been here longer than U klassic_liven@yahoo.com

I can beat them from the line. I have seen many wrx's only running 14.5-14.9's. I guess it depends on the driver too. They might get a jump out ahead of me but by the time i am in 3rd gear i am pulling on them.

A friend of mine has a WRX, and I must say, it's pretty quick. If you race a lightly modded one from a roll, you'll have a pretty good chance; off the line, and it's driver vs. driver.
My friend's WRX has a cat-back, a boost controller (runs 15-16psi I think), and a straight pipe, and his best time was a 13.6 E/T. I think it has a lot of protential, but a stock WRX vs. an HRC stage 2 should be just about even. I have yet to race him. I'll let you guys know.
