Just wondering, has anyone done a compression test after a rebuild with upgraded internals (8.8:1)? What were the numbers? I'm curious because after I got my engine rebuild, I'm unable to get any boost from my turbo setup--zero boost. I need to determine if the problem is caused from something mechanical or if it's in the i/c pipes or intercooler.
I have heard that if the piston rings are installed upside down, that it could cause some performance problems; is this true? My car seems to run normal, but there is zero boost. And, I've sent the turbo to HRC for inspection, and the turbo is in excellent condition. I can't figure out this boost-less problem. Thanks.

Can you hear the turbo spooling at all? If it is spooling then you should have boost pressure unless the intercooler pipe is totaly disconnected. But then you would here the turbo whine really loud.
