ok. my cousin has a 67 impala. he only has a 327 engine but, he has every performance mod possible for it (cams, intake manifold, etc) he was dyno tested at 412hp. could i take him in a 1/4 or a 1/8 if i put on the stage II hahn? how much hp should i be pushing if i had about 7-10 psi? what other mods would i need before i could take him? thanks for any responses before hand. and guess what? my student loan is in. woooohoooooo!!!! emoji

also one last question, is it worth the extra $600 toi get the ball bearing option on the stage II?

the eclipse is gon emoji but i sold it to my brother so it is still in the famil emoji i bought the nissan se-r spec emoji i like it for the price i paid. once the aftermarket starts coming into play i will have one hella fast biotch. i gteched her at 15.4 with 1

I'm not sure how heave those cars are, but i'll bet you wont be able to take him with just the stage 2. Now if you went stage 3 or 4 then you'd be in the running.
I would'nt spend the extra $600 on it. Put that towards electroincs that you'll need

i don't know the actual weight but i would guesstimate it would be around 4000 lbs. i can't really afford the stage 3 or 4. i would have a whole second advantage just with the weight. what do you all think?

I wouldn't pick any races with your cousin yet. 412 dyno horsepower in a RWD car is alot to contend with. Maybe find out what he runs at the track. I'm really not sure about that 4,000 lb guess. The classis muscle cars are often lighter than you'd think. They often have less chassis reinforcement, less sound deadening material, no AC, no PS, no PB, no PW, etc. For example, my dads '68 Mustang weighs a feathery 2900 lbs (completely stock).

find out what he can run in the 1/4 mile and then compare it to a stage 2. Stage 2 is good for low 14's and maybe even high 13's on some race gas.

i think he is gonna smoke you...412 rear HP to the ground is almost double the stage II kits power...so theoretically he could weight twice as much as you and still win because of his drivetrain? i think this makes sense. and since the car doesnt way 5600, i thin 412HP is good for well below the 14 second range

since when is an impala a muscle car?? its more like a old caddy. its weighs so damn much its insane. although, 412hp to the rear wheels is a lot to mess with.

his car is as big as a boat. its just like tokilla said, its as big as a caddy. he hasn't taken it to he track yet, but he is hoping (hoping being the key word)that he will be in the mid 13s. so he will probaly be in the high 13's. what else would i have t put on my car to get it the extra umph (without the stage 3 or 4, those have to much stuff you have to replace inside the block) to beat him?
