Does anyone know of any hookups on a DFI? Haltech is wayyyy too expensive for me. I know Star sells their own "stand alone fuel management system" for $600. Does anyone know of any other places? Please post. Thanks in advance.

HRC has the gen. 6 but doesn't have the gen. 7 ready. Howell also has the gen. 7 but is it 1500.00 and it doesn't come programmed. Talking to hrc it seems they can only get it to control the fuel and not the ignition. I guess that is what they are working on. They say early summer, but you know how that goes. You could buy on from Howell but you would have to get a crane or something along those lines for the ignition.

Or

You could get a gen. 6 from hrc (1100.00) and get a unit for the ignition 400.00 and your at 1500.00. The same price as the gen. 7.

Or

You could wait until hrc gets everything figured out and get the gen. 7 for prob. 1500+ and not have to worry about getting an ignition box.

I guess the gen. 7 is nice. Both HRC and Howell said it was worth it. I personally don't want to wait. With the summer just around the corner I want to be ready to race and not have to spend my summer tuning. Plus HRC isn't giving any kind of date which means it could be along time or next week????

I thought the DFI was cheaper... for almost the same price you go stand alone fuel management... fully programmable, red line adjustability... Just a thought.
