I got this thing half ass put together and drove the peice home.I couldnt get the down-pipe on corectly Im missing 2 bolts on the bottom of where it hooks to the turbo.(This is why 2 bolts are missing)The O2 sensor is now ether screwed because its wedged against the a/c compressor bracket(not letting the bolts line up on the turbo or they just dont line up at all) or is because the oil sensor is cracked(where the plastic part meets the bolt)and lighting when its at idle. The car runs like crap after having run for 5 min it bogs down and the crappo A/F by autometer pegs rich and wont get going unless its at 4000 and with the turbo spooling up at like 4lbs. and the more I drive it the worse it gets. The only way I can get it to run half right is reset the battery. I ve got a check engine light and code 21(o2 short)Ive got a new oil switch coming on tues and autozone has a bosh o2 sensor for $50.Anybody got any ideas on what to do(other than not to drive the car witch I dont plan on). Sorry had to vent.

yeah the most important thing is getting that o2sensor reading right if the sensor is messed up your car will automatically run rich by the ECU. It will cause the car to hesitate even die out or bog hard, just get the down pipe hooked up to the turbo however you can. even if it means unhooking the CAT so the bolts can line up better to the turbo up there.

You can have an open downpipe. When we installed my turbo we didn't have it hooked up to the cat cause the flange was rusted to the cat so I drove w/ an open downpipe spooling at idle which was soo bad ass but was a waste of gas. Its not that bad for your car so just get that O2 sensor hooked up somehow. Get car tuned and dyno'ed soon to cause I waited way to long to do that (this wed after waiting 2-3 months) and Im running REALLY RICH. Good luck

Don't know if this will fix your prob or not, but here's what I had to do. I had to hook up the downpipe to the turbo first and then hook it up to the cat afterwards. I tried to hook it up to the cat first and it would not fit.
I screwed up my o2 connection at first and the ECU sees lean, so it pumps in more and more fuel until your engine bogs and dies. and the longer it runs, the worse it gets. So make sure your o2 is hooked up correctly and working and it should rid you of your probs. Hope that helps.

Matt

I got your DP fix! Trust me on this one. Take it off, and get $20 bucks and an O2 bung. See a fab welder(or do it yourself). I didn't have my welder at my college house so it cost me 20 bucks to have them fill the Orig. 02 bung and relocate the thing on the other side of the AC Comp. I ruined 2 O2 sensors before I just wised up and had it relocated. I perfect readings now. My DP still doesn't fit real good now, but I Got ALL bolts in the turbo housing loosely and the 2 bolts in the cat loosely. Tighten up the turbo side first and then wiggle the cat to where you can tighten up the DP to it. I had luck w/ putting 2 exhaust gaskets in there, but got got it to fit good w/ one the last time I had it apart. Hope this helps!

Shit is all apart. Typical...
