For some reason, almost a weekly basis, I blow all the bolts off my manifold, the phlange, you name it. ARG! I am curious about you HRC or STAR people, am I alone in this because I got a backyard setup? thanks.

I replaced all my bolts on the exhaust manifold a long time ago with better ones. As far as the exhaust DP, I had one come out a long time ago, and just happened to physically be close to HRC and got a new one. Never a problem since.

I blow the bolts out of my wastegate flange all the time. I eventually found one that was about 5 threads longer and torqued it in there. it's probably cross threaded, but it's sure as shit not coming out..

speaking of exhaust leaks, I cant keep my exhaust manifold gasket from blowing out in like a week. I was just using a factory replacement from napa, felpro i think, but then i doubled up using 2 of them, still cant get it to hold... i thought it was my old exhaust sucked and i had too much backpressure, but with the 3'' downpipe, it still does it... what you think? maby get the manifold machined smoother or something? maby its warped a little, it doesnt look so physically, but i dunno.. Who on here has used the copper gasket ttiracing sells? had good results with that? I dont wanna waste 50 bucks on that if it will just do the same thing...

any bolts better than another, i am using ones with a allen head on them, easier to get em that way rather than with a wrench... guess i'll order the tti gasket

Some performance guy switched it out when he installed the TTI gasket and went with something other than those HRC allen bolts. Those damn allen bolts had the head break off on a couple fo the bolts.... I hated em!

Yeah I've blown a few bolts, some on the turbine flange and some on e the turbine slider thingie. One day I said oh what the hell and I put some blue threadlock on it because I found some in my garage and put some on the bolts, never had a single bolt pop out or come loose on me since then ^_^.
Man my exhuast manifold gasket is leakin also, I'm too lazy to change it though. The downpipe is also welded to the exhaust now so that complicates things a bit. Cuz one of these days I'm gonna take the whole manifold/turbo/and downpipe to a muffler shop and have that dump pipe welded onto that downpipe.
