Alright. Heres my situation: I'm 17 and a Junior in High School, I have a 98 GS (mostly stock, no engine mods). Now I really want a stage 2, and can afford it, but it would put a SERIOUS dent in my savings I have for college (parents are paying tuition etc, I'm just talking about spending money, Spring breaks, going out, books, etc.) but my parents won't let me ever get a job during school (so I need to save money!). Now should I get a stage 2, save the money, so just get like a Bored TB, UDP, CAI, Muffler and save the rest? (Keep in mind Im 95% I won't take my car to college, but will use it during the summer.)

If your not taking the car to college save the money. dont get a turbo if you are not going to use it. Go to college and have fun. You will need every penny you can get when you are in school. Beer gets pretty expensive when you drink it every night.

depends...
if it was me in that situation (which I were...been there and done that) I would save your money and get yourself an education. College is expensive. Don't get me wrong, turbos are fun, but only when you can afford the cost that goes with it. Ask anyone around, you not only spend the amount for a stage 2, but the little tunings and breaks that will come up. I believe alot of peeps here that are turbo have already spend more that 4K to make thier car runs right.
there was a post a little while about how much others have spent on their cars. the figures will scare you.
