Ok, here it is. My boost controller stopped functioning right around the time my rubber elbow got a hole in it. So I figured It was just getting boost leak. After I put on the elbow I got today I took "her" out for a test drive. Didnt boost past 5psi. WTF. I get home and start checking shit and somehow the line that connects the brain to the thing that goes in the engine bay was ripped or cut or whatever. I spliced the wires back and sodered them together and wrapped with electrical tap. Should work right? Wrong, still didnt work so I re-check everything for like the 20th time. It comes on so it has power, grounded at chassis, and I checked the "in" and "out" ports like 10 times just to make sure they in the right spots. WHY THE HELL IS THE DAMN THING NOT WORKING????????????????????????

What model boost controller is it? I am assuming it is electrical.

Check for boost leaks. Most supposed boost controller failures are simply the loss of boost somewhere in the system, or loss of exhaust gas energy before the turbo.

I just talked to Greddy and they said they would fix it for me even with the cut wire. They said, thats more than likely, NOT, the reason why its not working and to try as much as I can before I send it in. Remember when I said my AFC didnt come on but I was still getting power to it a while back? Apex-i is a bunch of f*ck heads. They said its not under warrenty. And if I send it in they will charge me to fix it. I now have a different opinion about apex-i. GOD...Apex-i stuff with Greddy's customer service. That would be a GREAT GREAT company right there. Ill go check for leaks then ill let ya know.

Oh, and its the profec B

Well, I do have an intercooler leak, which I just found out. But with the boost controller off I still run 5psi. Wouldnt I be running less than that with a boost leak? Before I even got the boost controller I was running 5psi. I got the boost controller and it let me up it to 8-9psi. With that said, wouldnt I run less than 5psi with intercooler leak and boost controller off? well ima go fix the leak now.

Ok Yancey, I hope your on. I need your expertise. I found the intercooler leak. But its not a pipe or it would be fixed. Its the 3kGT BOV. I covered the turbo with cardboard and it couldnt even hold the cardboard to the inlet. then I covered the bov also and the car died. what do i do?? I hope this doesnt mean i need another BOV, there has to be a way to fix it right?? Its sucking it from the part that blows off, not from the connection.

I've heard of the 3000GT BOV opening at idle.

Find a way to pressurize the system as opposed to vacuum-testing it. Do you remember my post on making a boost-leak tester? Might want to give that a shot. In the end, it's the ideal way to test for boost leaks, because you are working with the system under pressure as it would be while in boost.

Ok Dino, I did a search on boost leak testers and found out how to make one. I did it but I couldnt really tell if there was a boost leak or not. The air kept coming out of the 3kGT BOV and it was hard to plug that damn thing up. I know I have some kind of boost leak though because when boosting I hit 7psi (7psi spring, I guess) then it falls down to 5psi and even 4psi the higher I get in rpm's. Im gonna take off the boost controller and send it to greddy because I still think thats not working properly and when it gets a little warmer im gonna re-do all my gay intercooler pipes and such. Thanks for the advise.
