Am I pushing my luck?I'm at 16 PSI and I'm seeing rich.Highest egt's went was 1200(probe is @ downpipe,even if I compensate 300 it would still be only 1500 deg).Would the mototr necesarily be running lean when I start to need some retard or are there other tell tale signs I should watch for?

Do you have a datalogger? If so, see if timing is already being pulled at 16psi and by how much. If not, get one.

hey aj, i ran mine at @16psi w/no msd for about 1 month or so and it was already pulling timing, me and Dino datalogged my car, but i wouldnt run that high for too long 14psi is still fast till u get ur msd. =)

I wouldn't recommend that. Although you have sufficient fuel, your ecu is going to advance timing--resulting in detonations. Anything more than about 10 psi, then you should get an aftermarket ignition, such as, the MSD or Crane, for more spark energy and its timing retard function. Personally, I think my pistons gave out because I was running 10-12 psi daily for about a month, without an upgraded ignition. I know I had sufficient fuel because my air/fuel voltage at WOT was .93-.94v. I didn't really hear bad detonations, and sometimes they're not very audible. Just my .02 cent
