I have my old VC-1 (looks brand new) and I think that it might still be OK b/c I was having different probs that might not have been caused by a faulty clamp. Anyway, the clamp I got from Wyatt (3rd one) is getting glitchy, and usually won't let me boost w/o BAD hesitation. I'm getting a Corbin A/F and getting rid of my blinky one so I can see exactly how much fuel is in there. Is there anyway to test clamps or should I continue to wait on Mr Corbin and his sheer will to amaze us with knowledge beyond my grasp?

The only way to test it is to check the amount of voltage getting to your map sensor under boost. That means you need to have a multimeter hooked into your map sensor wire (yellow) and grounded and then get your car under boost. If it's clamped at around 4.7 volts, it's working. If it's clamped over 4.79 volts, it's not working. If it's clamped anywhere under 4.5 volts or so, it's clamping too much voltage. I'm guessing it's not clamping enough if you're getting hesitation.
Another easier way to check your map sensor voltage is though the S-AFC "check sensor" screen. It also monitors your map sensor voltage.

Well I just took a look at my VC-1 (had to dust her off) and its BRAND NEW! The wires have never been stripped. I remember being told not to use it but I don't remember why. If somebody is using the VC-1 succesfully, please respond. I got some homemade test leads and plan to test her out this weekend. I do have a S-AFC but it's not on right now. I would buy the VC-2 and not mess w/ this, but I'm really interested in the extra injectors theory and want to know if it will work before I spend money in the wrong direction.

Unless you go by way of a standalone ECU, you will need a VC-1 no matter what to avoid hestitation, fuel cut, and a CEL that alerts you to excessive MAP sensor voltage.
The VC-1 or the HRC fuel mapper are essentially the same in their function, albeit that one has a separate power, and actually goes inline with the map sensor wire. Either way, both are voltage clamps. Your car will operate SO MUCH better with it.
That means even with an extra injector setup, you will still need this item.
The extra injector setup is still in the works. Believe me, Corbin is still working on it and trying to overcome through some placement hurdles at this point with the project.
