"On the left is the HRC Super 16G found on the stage I thru IV Neon turbo systems. I got into the mid 11's with this turbo. This one is already larger, and has much more power potential than the 14B turbo found on stock DSM's

In the middle is the HRC Super 20G, Found in the stage V Neon system. This one got me into the mid 10's while still street driven, and into the 9's in race trim, and spraying N2O with a Nitrous Express single nozzle dry shot. I still have the quickest and fastest ET for a car equipped with the 20G turbo, (even including the awd DSM's) and that was only using the 2.0L Neon motor!

On the right is the big bruiser, the new HRC Super 25G.
This beauty can now be purchased as an upgrade after a summer of testing it on the team cars, the Neon and the Eclipse RS. We haven't fully realized the potential of this wicked huffer, and will continue to get quicker and faster with more testing.
This turbo is a hybrid, custom made at Hahn RaceCraft, using existing Mitsubishi components, and specially selected compressor wheels.
I just picked up my 1st 2.4L motor today, and will start assembling a new killer race motor using this Big Nasty, and spraying some juice on top of it!"

ya know.. I was at the auto show last night and chevy had a display about their new Duramax diesel.. and it had the HUGEST damn turbo sitting on top of it. and earlier I saw a turbo that looked the same size ontop of a ford powerstroke turbo diesel.. so I was wondering.. could you find one of those huge diesel turbo's (meant for 8.0L motors.. hehe) in like a junkyard or something? cause if you were going the huge turbo route.. i'd look at trying to find one of those.

I don't know if any of you have seen those turbo's.. but since I dont' have pictures I'd say it looked twice as big (in all dimensions) as the stock turbo's i've seen on 1.8T jettas and eclipse turbos... judging by those pictures up above i'd say they were atleast as big as that 25G turbo, if not larger.

Haven't I been given you guys enough crap about reading over on the neon boards? They might be the engine gurus, but they still need to learn a couple things about turbo kit conversions. They ask more beginner turbo kit questions than even this board!

why does the S16G look the same size as the S20G. If our cars can only handle so much boost. HRC does around 25-30. Whats the point of the bigger turbo? If they plan on going 45psi then awesome but I just think it will be slower spool up time on the same amount of boost and slower ET's!

Effiency is the key. Basically, the larger turbo will hav eto work less to make th esame ammount of airflow than the smaller turbo, thus the temps will be lower and cfm's will increase which equals more overall power. Main disadvantage to it is lag (I am seriously thinking about that turbo, but that 3 letter word is SERIOUSLY making me think. If I can make power all the way to 8 grand somehow, I probably won't worry about lag as much. I just have to see what the car does with th esetup it has now at the track before I make any final decisions.

A bit of info on the Super 25G:

We put it through its paces last year on Len's Neon. It actually bolts onto the standard HRC manifold! We ran 151 MPH in the 1/4 with that turbo and manifold combo, but at low boost, so there's lots left. The compressor can support up to 650 HP of airflow. The Neon was used to establish durability of this new turbo design. The results were exemplary. Now, we are almost ready to launch the Super 25G upon the public.

It has also undergone street testing on the good ole RS for a while now. While it did require a different compressor discharge pipe and replacement of the radiator fan with a slimmer aftermarket unit, it bolted in otherwise. Naturally, one of our 3" Eliminator downpipes should also be used to optimize the unit, but the standard downpipe will attach to it.

The Super 25G will be available in two different models: Super 25G, and the larger Super 25G-H.

In street testing with a 2.0L engine, we see 15 PSI of boost by approximately 4000 RPM with Super 25G. With the Super 25G-H, 15 PSI is available by approx. 4500 RPM. Therefore, these units are best suited to cars that have been modded to run past the stock redline of 7000 RPM.

With that being said, how are you bypassing the good ole stock redline at 7200 rpm on the RS? Does this mean you have a replacement ECU or are you running a full stand alone system?
