Bought a Manual Boost Controller off of ebay for 20 bux. I coulda got it for 10 if some whiper snapper didn't jump in at the last second and start a biding battle. Anyway the cheap boost controller worx well, haha saw my gauge actually go to 8 when I was tuning it. It was trippy because I've been running at 4/5 for so long. I adjusted it to correct the pressure loss from the intercooler to 5psi. Woohoo I can feel it pulling, took it for a little test run and when I floored it in a corner I could feel the weight of the car radically shift. Woohoo when I get an EGT gauge I'm gonna tap the ol' 420A for all it can give me.

So far 20 dollar ebay boost controller is a working out great. Haha came with some cheap intrsuctions and no diagrams. Pain in the ass when they start talking about the actuator and the stock boost controller. Drawing a picture would have been much better. I guess I'll post pix of it on my website later. Came with some cheap vacuum hoses, hey what can you expect from a 20dollar MBC. Oh well I plan on upgrading all of them to silicon in the future.

hehe I wanna get EGT guage first, but 5 psi will do for now. Is the jump from 5 to 7 a big deal? Hehe then again I can already feel it pulling more with 1 psi added ^_^

I ordered a manual boost controller about 3 days ago. Should be here tomorrow or monday. I got the one jason has. It has a knob on top of it so its easy to change the boost setting. I cant wait to get out of this 5-6 psi range. I am going to run 7psi everyday and 9psi on race gas at the track. That combined with my test pipe should get me into the low 14's!!!

Has anyone tried to put a silicone hose from the Deltagate wastegate to the fitting on the throttle body. This is the fitting that used to be for the pcv valve(gone if you have a RRE catchcan with 2 inputs)and routed to the valve cover. You would have to remove the hose from the wastegate to the turbo compressor first. Basically the wastegate was measuring its psi rating before the pressure drop. Now it will measure the pressure at the intake manifold(after the drop)and compensate for any loss in pressure due to leaks or intercooler flow.

Has anyone tried this before? I too am going to run a boost controller with my starion(ordered piping today), but this is a cheap way to get back your 6 psi instead of running 4 psi.

Thoughts?

erm well I never ran at 6psi though. It was a drop from 5 to 4. What your talking about is the deltagate mode I think. I forgot how the diagram go. But yeah I think that'll work. Got boost controller now so don't have to do it now hehe.

Hehe yeah mine has a big ass allen screw for the adjustment screw. Haha when bidded on it I thought it was a little ass allen screw, I wanted that so it wouldn't be easy for my to adjust boost so I don't get greedy with it, but haha it's more like a giant knob now.

Just wondering but where do you get those Dejon boost controller with the switch that goes from high boost to low boost?

You can route the PCV to the catchcan?
Do you leave the pcv checkvalve inline or remove it completely?
Do you disconnect the Head end or the TB end?
If the TB side gets disconnected, what do you do with the connector to the throttlebody? Plug it?
I have a RRE catchcan, with just the crankcase breather routed to it.

TIA!!
