#14355, "What a difference (changing out the exhaust to 2.5" on my turbo 420a)!!!!!"

I finally got the Hayame muffler welded on to the pace setter cat-back. It looks soooooooo good. And it sounds great. It has a nice deep sound. And by the ASS-O-METER (new term i learned from Stan) I think it runs a little quicker. I havent had a chance to really open her up yet because of traffic but tonight I will go 5.0 hunting. I am VERY happy with my new cat back system. The muffler shop charged me $50 for the welding because he had to put an extension piece in and he had to weld the bracket on to hold the muffler up. He did a great job though. So the grand total for the whole exhaust was still under $400. Not bad for mandrel bent 2.5" piping and a hayame muffler. I'll have some pics soon. I just want to drive my car around everywhere now. Its funny how when you do something new to your car you always want to drive it for a few days. I am going to the track soon (maybe next week)to see what this 6-7psi can do.

Sounds good man. Take it to an underground parking lot and let that bitch scream. That's what I did, and uner $400 for the exhaust is a damn good deal my Thermal exhaust cost almost twice that. Good luck with the 5.0L's.

Well at 7 psi I dont think a low 14 is likely. Maybe a 14.6-14.7. My car wont hold 7 psi though. It gets to 7 then it drops to about 6psi. I am going to get a boost controller very soon and see what happens.

My engine mods...
1. hrc s16g turbo 6psi
2. starion FMIC with custom piping
3. 2.5 catback with hayame mufler
4. AFX underdrive pulley
5. AFX solid front motor mount

I too have a Hayame. I got the XT-4. I LOVE the way it sounds...so throaty and smooth, like it's got some fuckin' balls (which it hella does)! I have people comment on how it sounds all the time. Hehe...boost is fun though, aint it man? I'm currently running 5 psi because of the pressure differences here (I'm at a pretty high altitude). Well, be sure to let us know your times and when I get to go to the track I'll post mine. emoji HAPPY BOOSTIN' MOFOs!'
