well, remember the post where i said it maxed out at 120 and i didn't know why, well at 8 psi i hit it in 4th and hit 140 with no signs of stoping. i let off the gas at less than 6k rpms in 4th gear. damn. without the turbo my car used to top out in fourth at 120. it was nuts. the thing was running rich the whole way so i'm good there, i'm not going that fast again until i get an egt and some better tires, thats for damnsure. but i know now it's ok on the fuel side of things emoji

i'm ALMOST positive, i was too concerned with the a/f guage and the speed...i was shaking afterwards so i may be off w/ the gearing... but it was amazing. when i didn't have the turbo, i COULD get to 130, but the space from 120 to 130 would take forever, but w/ this the mph didn't stop or slow at all, it just kept rising and i finally just let off of the gas. too scary for my blood. i do want to live thru college.

the only thing is i have a lil bit of a boost leak where the wastegate connects to the manifold. how would i go about fixing this? do i have to replace the gasket? or just tighten down the bolt and see if the puttering-ish noise goes away. i thought it was my engine at first, but then i found it...now i'll sleep ok tonite...

I dont see how a boost controller with let you reach speeds higher than without at the same rpm range. At beginning of 4th im at 120mph. Ive gotten 4th up to 130mph but im always at 120 when i shift into 4th. I just get their a lot faster now with the turbo.

Did you use the metal ring the supplied with TiAL? You have to really tighten the blots hard, so you can push the matel ring in.

yeh, we tried to tighten them down and it didn't work, it's still leaking. how much is that blown gasket? can you blow them? i'm going to a local shop today to see if they can tighten it down w/ some air tools or soemthing...

and about the speed and rpm's and stuff, i just said what i THOUGHT it was, i was freakin out at that speed and i seriously don't remember totally...next time i'll let you know for sure. until then i plan to say below tripple digits

Just a thought on the whole speed thing and this may just be me... but honestly 75-100MPH you're already flirting with death. so basically to me 75mph or 200mph its all the same to me only thing is, if i do die at 200mph imma die alot faster, rather that then possible pain and suffering. i dont get when people say i let off at 120 cause i was getting scared. 119 your dead 110 your dead, so again why left off at 120 or in this case i think it was 140. May be i am a nut. emoji emoji emoji

p.s. good job on the profec b
