I got a nasty hesitation when I boost. My EGT's are fine but it seems like a fuel cut prob. The car will boost but my blinky A/F just sweeps. I haven't been boosting b/c of fear of this being detonation. I had a VC-1 and it didn't work, so I got a different little black box and it's been working but now it seems to have quit. I got some info from Corbin on the how-to for building a dig. A/F gauge so if I got time I'll do it this weekend. I also have an EGR code(Darkone hooked me up w/ how to trick it, just haven't done it yet either) but I don't think that would cause this prob. Should I wait and go w/ Corbin's set-up or go get a VC-2? Thanks.

">hrc now sells there FCD which is a whole lot easier and >better then the VC1 i think its 60-70 "
I've had at least 3 HRC fcd's. They're horrible. Althought hooking them up is easy, until they totally revise how they're made, you can put them in the same category as the HRC FPR's.
Theoretically, both devices would adequately do a the job should they do what they're supposed to do, BUT they both fail miserably through poor quality or lack of ability.

Ut oh. This is new to me, I have the HRC FPR and haven't seen any problems. Can you give me some more details on the problems with it? What FPR do you recomend? Because I'm going to be upping the boost to about 12-15psi this spring and I don't want any part of my fuel system failing.

Well it's really nice today and checked some stuff on the car. The wires and all are soldered and look fine. I have no idea what brand the black box is. No name or markings like the VC-1 I had. I still have the VC-1 but it didn't work for me. Anybody wants it your more than welcome. I have the wires soldered right at the MAP and the box off to the side by the strut tower. You guys thinking that this is a bad place for it? I live in Kansas where it's cold and rainy for a min. then it changes to 15000 degrees then windy, well you get the picture. Would all the elements take this big of a toll on my box? I think I might try to locate a GOOD MAP and go w/ Corbin's set-up. I'm tired of this black box crap.
