#14100, "attn:super20g (or anyone else w/ a profecB)...BOOST CREEP"

alrite, i must only have a 3lb spring in my wastegate because there is no manual boost control on my car but it was maxing out at 3psi. the wastegate had one tube connecting it to the compressor part of the turbo.

well, today i installed a profecB. i'm almost positive everything is routed correctly, i messed a lot w/ the switches on the back of the in-car-unit, and all the tubes going to the lil black box are connected. the 'out' line goes to the port on the wastegate which HAD been connected to the compressor, i just took that line off. the 'in' line goes from the lil black box to the compressor. the black box is connected electrically to the incarunit, and the incarunit also has another pressure line that goes to a T between the fpr and the intake manifold.

my problem: it isn't controlling worth shit. the boost keeps getting higher and higer. i hit 11 before i took my foot off the gas. any ideas? i've messed w/ the lowboost setting nob a lil, messed a lot w/ the balance nob, messed w/ the switches in the back of the incarunit (external, and then external overboosting) but it still doesn't seem to be doing anything. it turns on ok. cool green lights.

any help would be GREATLY appreciated. i have a tial wastegate if that is of any help.

here's all

assuming you have internal wastegate: you need to change the switches to actuator type(2,4 up 1,3 down) or actuator type overboosting(2,3 up and 1,4 down).

if you have external wastegate: connect the "out" to the top port of the WG, and connect a vaccume line from intake manifold to the side port of the WG.
