Well I have been having a problem holding 7 psi. I have no boost controller. But I can hit 7 psi when I first start going then after a couple seconds like when I get to 3rd and 4th gear my boost drops to about 5-6. Could this be caused by a leak in my intercooler piping? I really wish I could hold 7 psi all the way through the rpm range. I have custom intercooler piping and I was thinking it might be leaking somewhere. Or could it be the wastegate. Would a boost controller fix this problem?

more then likely a possible boost leak. the special welding maybe leaking somewhere.... also you do have a lot of bends and clamps so check all of them... if you dont find it by friday i'll check it out w/ ya

Ok heres the deal. I just went for a little test drive. I hit 5psi in first gear. I hit 5.5 psi in second gear. Then in third I hit about 6 psi. If I am in third gear going pretty slow and i floor it i can hit 7 psi but if I am shifting through all the gears fast I only hit about 6 psi. So if it gradually boosts it will go to 7psi but if it is a fast shifting high rpm run I only hit 6psi in third gear. I tightened down most of the clamps I have. I have to tighten a couple that arent easily accesible.
