#13722, "PSI?"

I have seen alot of posts stating that people want to beable to run 10psi, 15psi, ect. What exactly to you mean by this? I know psi stands for pressure per square inch but what does that have to do with the engine? Thanks

That is the Pounds per square inch of air pressure that the turbo makes in the intake manifold to make power. On a N/A motor the car sitting at idle has vaccuum in the intake manifold and piping. When you are at full throttle on a N/A motor, the air pressure is at 0 psi meaning no vaccuum and no positive pressure over the normal atmosphereic pressure. When you have turbo and you give it gas the turbo spins and makes positive pressure and you have air under pressure also known as boost.
