I think whoever installed my cam gears didnt know what they were doing when they tuned them.. For my application, higher boost and shit, how should I set them for best performance, I forgot what the guy said today at the shop, but he said to check with someone cause he thought it was backwards... exhaust was advanced 3 degree, intake is at 0. Any feedback would be much appreciated asap, I go back to the car dr. tomrrow afternoon.

well, yeah, i know that... but i know some of you all have already done some dyno tuning on cam gears before, just wanted to get the low down and tune them better for now, until i can get the dyno tuning done.

Iv'e played w/ it a bit.For high end I saw advance on both @ 2 deg gave best results. But I'm auto so for low end I was better of w/ 2 deg advance intake, and stock on exhaust. This is based on a "highway" dyno....hey,we're not all millionare's here...

Well we set up the stuff to go to the dyno today, its in about 3 weeks. He is really busy, and he is the only true engine head at his shop, so he has to take off and shit that day... Hope my clutch survives the dyno runs. btw, i tuned my cam gears like yours and the idle sucks now but i feel a smidge more power, but it could just be me still getting used to the exhaust powa. guess the dyno will only tell.

Nope, stock cams... I figured if i messed with the cams and intake manny too much, i would get into idle probs, so thats why i have left them alone... Do you have the Crane cams? You like? How would I tune these cams for now for stock cams? RoadRace wont reply to me ever... I know they have done dyno testing.. dunno about on the 420a though..
